8-Year-Old Lincoln Connolly receives Halton’s Aiming High Award for Outstanding Citizenship

8-year-old Lincoln Connolly and his mother Sophie Connolly from Runcorn, have been on an incredible lifesaving mission in memory of Oliver Steeper, a 9-month-old boy in Kent who tragically passed away due to choking while attending Jellybean Nursery.
Sophie and her son Lincoln set up a GoFundMe page and a JustGiving page, in addition to holding cake baking sales to raise funds to provide free LifeVac Kits to schools across Runcorn, with Lincoln hand delivering them. They have helped donate LifeVac kits to over 30 schools and now plan to continue this to the wider area.
8-year-old Lincoln has been recognised for his amazing efforts & dedication. Lincoln has been awarded Halton’s Aiming High Award for Outstanding Citizenship.
Sophie Connolly commented: “We’re all really proud of him. What started as a mission to get Lincoln’s own primary school equipped with a LifeVac, turned into a much bigger one. The fact that Lincoln can say he’s responsible for every school in Runcorn having this life-saving device really is an incredible achievement, and we’re made up that he’s been recognised with this award.”
The Oliver Steeper Foundation was set up by Oliver’s parents Lewis and Zoe Steeper in memory of their son Oliver, who fundraise and donate LifeVac anti-choking devices to nurseries and childcare settings across the UK.
