It’s with great pleasure the team at LifeVac Europe share news that LifeVac has again helped save another life in the Adult Care Sector.
LifeVac was used again to help save a life in a choking emergency, this time in Ireland. We have been asked not to name the care provider this time as not to attract any media/unwanted attention, which we fully respect.
A 74-year-old male resident was eating his dinner when food became lodged in his airway, staff acted quickly delivering BLS choking protocol which could not dislodge the partial airway obstruction. The carers then deployed LifeVac which they had only purchased the same week. With one application LifeVac removed the FBAO (Foreign Body Airway Obstruction). The male resident was given an examination due to receiving BLS choking protocol by their local GP and was given the “all clear”.
